I’m thinking about Being Charged, The drive for competence.

The question is, what unimportant activities are you spending too much time on, which could be better utilized to try meaningful new things?
John Wooden asks us to seek significant change.  I’m wondering if the marathon training is one of those things.  It’s tough because I love to be in excellent shape. One of the coolest things is knowing that for about 9 months out of each year I can run 20+ miles without a problem. I mean come on, how many people can say that.  I know right, now how many people can say it and mean it.  It’s just a great feeling. But I’m wondering if I should be making more of a contribution to a bigger cause. As I grow and become the person I want to be, I am seeing that I am also becoming the person the world needs me to be. This may pull me off of the road and into peoples home.
Are you spending too much time performing an activity that is unimportant?

Tattoos are for suckers

Five things I have learned about home decorating/fashion/organizing…

1.       Clean and organized people will usually be more successful than those who are not

2.       If you look good, you feel good. Remember we’re over 90% visual so if you want to be somebody you have to look like somebody

3.       To stay organized you must be willing to throw things away. Our brain is the ultimate organizing machine. Oh how quickly we are to throw out things that we feel are no longer important.  Learn from it.

4.       When it comes to fashion do not, and a repeat do not get a tattoo. That ink not only stains your skin, it also stains your brain
